A Fresh Start

Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we've been given a brand-new life, and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven (1 Peter 1:3-4 MSG).

"Jesus wants to give people a fresh start. "

A lot of people would like to have a fresh start in life. They think, "I've blown it, I've messed up, Can God ever forgive me for what I have done? I've really made a mess of things in my life. If only I could have a fresh start."

God loved us so much that he sent His son Jesus to die on the cross in our place, to make a way that we can be forgiven for our past. If we repent and turn away from our past/sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us, giving us a fresh start and new life through Christ Jesus.

The apostle Peter says, "Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we've been given a brand-new life, and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven" (1 Peter 1:3-4 MSG).

Several things happen once you give your life to Christ:

1. You give your life to God and get to know him.

2. You're given a brand new life through Christ, which gives you everything to live for.

3. You get a future here on earth and in heaven.

You can say it this way: You get your past forgiven, you get a purpose for living', and you get a home in heaven. What a deal! You're past, present, and future are taken care of as you put your trust in Jesus.

...A fresh start!

"Everything that we have—right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start—comes from God by way of Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 1:30 MSG).

" In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?" (John 14:2 ESV)

LETS PRAY:

Father, I ask that you would help me change my life. I invite you Holy Spirit to come and live within me. Help me overcome my sinful nature. I ask that you renew a right spirit within me and help me to focus my life on you. Thank you Father that the old has gone and the new has come, and that I am a new creation in Christ Jesus. - Amen
